Meet our riding instructor and group facilitator: Sage Elsea!
Meet our Co-founder and Media Coordinator: Troy Schroder!
Troy has been working with horses for most of his life. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, he struggled with finding safe environments in which he felt free to be himself and work with horses in a kind and effective way. So, in 2019, he began searching for a way to create that himself. With the help of the incredible owners of Immortal Farms, in 2020 that dream became a reality. Troy has experience riding in training in many styles, and uses a base of natural horsemanship to help students branch out into whatever direction they want to go. Troy’s day job is that of a teacher for high-needs children and teens, which has given him the skills needed to teach horseback riding to people of all ages from all walks of life. Though life changes have forced him to step away from a more active role at GORS and CC, he continues to be involved and support the backend function and teach occasional lessons.
